DOS and USCIS are slow. But it would be really helpful if the IV code team can provide some update on our site. I believe over 2.5 hours have passed since the last update regarding some update in 1 hour. I guess we can't do anything if it takes more time but an update always helps! Thank you.

From what I understand, if you have an H1b extended based on your Labor or I140 approval, if your I485 is denied, all applications/extensions based on your Adjustment of Status also expire.
From the lawyers' perspective, all of them promoting H1bs is more a business push than a 'favorable situation for the applicant' push.
Most EAD/AP applications/renewals are now filed by applicants directly, whereas H1Bs go thru the lawyers.
But keeping the moolah part aside, why would an EAD be invalid whereas a H1b be valid, when both are based on the Green Card application?
Because there are no clear regulations around what happens to H1 if I-485 gets denied. But there are existing regulations that EAD becomes invalid. So being on H1 gives you an edge. You will not able to extend/transfer H1 but there is no effect on existing approved h1.
Also even if you use EAD you can actually get back on H1 status without being counted against the quota as long as your I-485 is pending. But you will need to go out and get H1 stamped and re-enter. In this particular case, since father was primary applicant he could have sponsored new H1 w/o I-94 and get it stamped and re-enter. Not sure why lawyer did not suggest that.

There is no serious effort by the republicans. They are fractured, divided, into groups. They have no motivation to get this comprehensive bill passed. I have been observing the tactics and attitudes of these republican senators and democratic senators. I am more shocked by the game of one-upmanship on the part of Frist, Kyl, Cornyn, Craig. I don't see rhyme or reason in their sppeches. The bill has no life for the next 3 weeks.

The development is accompanied by three other developments:
President released statement supporting the bi-partisan agreement;
Senate rejected the Democrat's motion to cloture for the Specter amendments to S.2454;
Senate also relected the Republican Kyl' motion for his amendments.
Now we see the light at the end of the tunnel!!

Is there any way to know if employer has revoked your 140. I have an approved 140 & pending 485. After filing 485 I left my company before completing 180 days. Its more than 9 months since I left my employer. Will the status change on USCIS web if 140 was revoked.

One of my friend's collegue had issues in getting his citizenship because he changed
job in less than 6 months of getting GC. Don't know too many details but I know that
citizenship will have issues..so pls check it out.

Hi Michael, nice shots. It's easy to see that you brought the discipline and hard work of your nature work to the studio. What was your lighting setup? Flash? strobes? How many and what positions? and how did you go about metering? They're very beautiful but just a little flat. Shadows add depth and will make the flowers pop out more. How's that for a vague concept? :) But if you have the ability to reposition the light(s) you should get some very different and interesting results. adjust to taste. shadows are good in many situations. It took about 4 weeks. Do you have H1-B extension? If so, I would suggest to use that instead of waiting for AP. The AP has new date instead of old one. Good Luck in getting the AP sooner.
IF your EAD and AP got approved with incorrect Photo. What actions ur lawyer is taking for her I-485 application. IF you 485 approved her card will come with different photo. so you lawyer suggested to you and what actions ur taking to prevent.

My lawyer is stupid guy he wont respond to me. he will only respond to my employer.

I-140 receipt will not have A#. Only approval notice will have it. In the beneficiary column along with name of the person.

Your Masters should suffice for the educational requirements. 3-year Bachelors is irrelevent in this context. However your job position must nessiccitate the Master's qualification.

You can stay here as your H1 is pending but you should not work. Then you are still Legal. This happened to many students in 04' when H1 ran out unexpectedly quick. As long as you do not work and H1 is pending i think you are legal. That is what finalized in 04'. Correct me if I am wrong.

I had the same experience when I was trying to arrange state volunteers for IV to meet the lawmaker, I was asked questions to the same effect.. What and howmuch of IV resources are being spent for labor backlog elimination? It is stated in the agenda on the home page. A webfax for a letter writing campaing was suppsed to start, but has not started yet. I think IV should work onputting up the letter on the site for people to use to send to lawmakers.
